Space Jam: A New Legacy
Synopsis
Welcome to the Jam! Basketball champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny with the animated/live-action event “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” from director Malcolm D. Lee and an innovative filmmaking team including Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter.
This transformational journey is a manic mashup of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids. When LeBron and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I., LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before.
It’s Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.
Virtual Drawing Event with Eric Bauza
We had the privilege to attend a special Virtual Drawing Event with the talented Eric Bauza last month. If you’re not familiar with his name, well…you’re probably familiar with the voice characters he plays. Characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Marvin Martian…just to name a few! He started in the industry as an animator…
It was a cool experience for me and the kids to learn how to draw such ionic characters from him! And we also got to ask him a question. Caiden wanted to know how he prepares himself before each character role. Scroll down to watch the interview and learn how to draw these Looney Tunes too!

Review
We got a chance to screen the film this past weekend and attended a Space Jam Fan Experience at LA Live afterwards! How lucky are these kids? You can see a snippet from our day, here.
The movie was FUN. LOONEY. HEARTFELT. It was nostalgic for this 80s baby/90s kid who grew up with the Looney Tunes and enjoyed the first Space Jam Movie. And at the same time it was geared towards a new generation of fans, like my kids. There was something for everyone to enjoy the movie, back in theaters!
Without any spoilers, I loved seeing all the WB characters in the Server Verse. There were funny moments and I was really impressed with LeBron James. Mind you…I had zero exceptions regarding his acting. It’s a fun film that definitely got my kids wanting to play basketball.
