Honey Mangoes are in season just in time for Cinco de Mayo! This particular variety originated in Mexico by grower Ataulfo Morales Gordillo.
Honey mangoes also called “baby,” or “yellow,” tend to be a bit smaller than other varieties, but pack in the vitamins and nutrients. The flesh is creamy and sweet with no fibers throughout. They also have a small seed inside, so there’s more mango to love. Their sweet taste makes them a delicious and surprising addition to avocado or traditional salsa.
It’s the perfect time to pick some up, not just because they’ll add to the Cinco de Mayo celebration, but their price is something to celebrate too. Right now, Honey Mangoes at Food 4 Less are 3 for 99 cents. Honey Mangoes are in season until June so get them before they’re gone. #myfood4less #cincodemango #freshforeveryone
