BOO. It’s our favorite time of year…because its almost HALLOWEEN! And to kick-off the season, we headed down to LEGOLAND CA for the first night of BRICK OR TREAT. This is our third year attending Brick or Treat and every year it gets better.
What’s Brick or Treat?
Brick-or-Treat Party Nights is a special ticketed event happening on Saturday nights (Sept. 29, Oct. 6, 13, 20, & 27) starting at 5 p.m. with more Park play after dark! On those special nights, LEGOLAND closes at 5 p.m. to the general public and stays open till 9 p.m. for Brick or Treat guests. So you’ve got 4 hours to fill your bags with sweet treats, enjoy the not-so-spooky entertainment, take photos and the best part…continue riding on the fun attractions, including the Ghost Cruise.
LEGOLAND distributes green wristbands for Brick or Treats guests to wear at all times, so if you’re spending the day there, be sure to grab them near the entrance.
What to Bring?
- Your costumes, of course! There’s even a Halloween Costume Contest with different categories to enter like, Group, Heroes & Villains, and LEGO Theme.
- Glow Sticks/Light-Ups – Parts of the park get really dark and my boys LOVE having their glow sticks to help light the way.
- Jacket – It gets cold.
- Comfy Shoes – With 16 Treat Stations located around the park and dance parties, like the AstroBash, you’ll be doing lots of walking and monster mashing!
- No need to bring a Halloween treat bag, LEGOLAND supplies guests with a green plastic bag. You can also purchase a commemorative treat bag at their shop.
Treat Stations
Be sure to grab a Brick or Treat Party Nights Event Guide at the entrance. The map shows where you’ll find all 16 Treat Stations, including the location for specialty items such as LEGO® commemorative brick and the LEGO® Life Magazine containing a special gift. There’s also a bonus treat station inside SEA LIFE® aquarium and while you’re there, check out the Pirate Booty Boogie dance party on the main deck!
Next to the Fun Town Treat Station, there’s a fun Pop Badge Challenge. Complete the three spooky tasks to earn exclusive Brick-or-Treat Pop Badges!
Entertainment
For a spooky fun time, there’s new live shows this year including Mail Order Monsters, The Witchettes, and Frankenbrick’s Lab. At the Hearlake City Fall Festival and Entertainment, you’ll find the BOOgrass Band and craft activities. Our favorite Brick-or-Treat Show…hands down, the Midnight Monster Jam! These LEGO monsters sing, dance, and do meet & greets.
Brick-or-Treat Party Nights is a special event and admission can be purchased for as low as $54 if purchased online in advance. For more info, visit https://www.legoland.com/california/.
