Happy first day of August! Summer is almost over for us because school starts in two weeks and that means its back to the grind. We just started our back-to-school shopping, have you?
With that being said…let’s talk about after-school snacks. I admit, it’s something I didn’t think of when Caiden first started school. I thought I had everything planned – outfits, school lunches, dinners…but never a healthy snack that’ll refuel him while he unwinds and gets ready to do homework. But I learned my lesson the hard way and I’m never making that mistake again!
So during the month of August, I’ll be sharing healthy after-school snack recipes that’s easy and quick to make like this Pita Pizza!
I was able to get all my ingredients from Milk and Eggs and that saved me time from going to the grocery store (with kids in tow). If you’re in the LA/OC area, I highly recommend you check it out!
For this recipe all you need are the 4 main ingredients: pita, marinara sauce, olive oil, and cheese (unless your kid is like Caiden and doesn’t like cheese). As far as toppings…go crazy! Since this is a snack – I kept the toppings light.
