POW! ZAP! BOOM! Now that I’ve got your attention: the action packed Teen Titans Go! To The Movies is making its way to theaters July 27th. and it’s filled with so many DC superheroes – you’ll most likely spot a favorite or two!
Synopsis:
When the Teen Titans go to the big screen, they go big! “TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES” finds our egocentric, wildly satirical Super Heroes in their first feature film extravaganza—a fresh, gleefully clever, kid-appropriately crass and tongue-in-cheek play on the superhero genre, complete with musical numbers. It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously Super-Villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line! Rated PG for action and rude humor.
Movie Review
We love our superheroes in this household but before we watched a screening of Teen Titans GO! To The Movies – we didn’t know much about the franchise. I honestly felt we wouldn’t understand the film for that very reason. BUT guess what? …it didn’t matter if you were a long time fan or a new one (like us)! The movie did a great job explaining who these characters are and why they are a team. By the end of the film, my boys had their favorites. Ronan is a Robin fan and Caiden loved Beast Boy…he even got chance to led his voice to his favorite character in a special ADR (Additional Dialog Replacement) session!
Teen Titans GO! To The Movies was filled with action, humor (that parents will LOVE), and it ended with a heartfelt message about friendship. The DC Universe is known to be a little dark, so expect rude humor throughout the film. There’s also an unexpected cameo in the film – which made all the adults watching with us burst into laughter. So enjoy seeing him. :)This movie was so RAD for the whole family to watch on the big screen – it’s even 100% FRESH on Rotten Tomatoes!
