Last Thursday, we were transported to Mexico under the big top – in the most beautiful way. Cirque Du Soleil LUZIA is a waking dream of Mexico, literally AND I’m so happy I got to experience the show with Caiden.
Cirque Du Soleil LUZIA was surreal, visually stunning, and captivating. The talented acrobatic performers filled the intimate space with oohs, aahs and laughs from the crowd. The music set the tone as we traveled through an imaginary Mexico and honestly, we didn’t want to leave.
This show had one visual surprise after another and my favorite was the use of water. LUZIA is the first Cirque Du Soleil – Big Top show that incorporates the element and it was breathtaking to watch the artists perform on the apparatus…in the rain!
Since LUZIA is under the big top, making it more intimate than other Cirque du Soleil shows…I highly recommend taking kids who are 5+. I would have loved to take Ronan, considering he did really well at Cirque Du Soleil’s TORUK: The First Flight, which you can read here. But since he’s an active two year old and the stage + performers were just steps away from our seats…let’s just say I’m glad he stayed home or else Cirque Du Soleil would have gained an performer.
With that being said, LUZIA will leave you inspired and to imagine the unthinkable. It’s a MUST-SEE that you don’t want to miss! You can see more from the show on my Instagram Story Highlight, here.
