L.A. Zoo Lights is back for its fourth year and it’s a great way to kick-off the Holidays! The kids had so much last year, we just had to come back. It’s going on for seven weeks at the Los Angeles Zoo from November 17, 2017 through January 7, 2018 (except on November 23 and December 24/25).
A good portion of The L.A. Zoo aglow with LED lights by the thousands with a disco ball forest, glittering twinkle tunnel, 3-D animated projections and more. So make sure to grab a map when you enter – all the installations and shows are listed. New this year – the musical Christmas tree when you enter the zoo, a re-imagined water show (located near the LAIR exit) with its “Wild Wonderland” finale spotlighting endangered & vulnerable species and a new “North Pole” setting for Santa photos.
You can expect to spend between 1.5 to 2 hours at The L.A. Zoo Lights starting at 6 p.m.- don’t forget to bundle up! Kids will ask to see the animals but since they’re asleep, the only ones to view are the herd of real reindeer in their “Reindeer Village” habitat AND the multitude of amphibians, invertebrates and reptiles in the LAIR.
Have your cameras ready…there’s so many fun photo ops!
