Do you want to build a snowman? In L.A? Well, you can play and learn at Discovery Cube’s second annual Winter Wonderfest! It’s happening now through January 8, 2017, at both their Orange County and Los Angeles locations.
We had a chance to check-out the Los Angeles location the other day and the kids had so much fun playing in real snow! I know there’s snow just hours away from us (we’re planning that trip, soon), but the Discovery Cube offers kids the opportunity to learn the science behind sledding down ice ramps, weather, and how snow is formed through hands-on activities.
There are five main attractions located outside of the Discovery Cube. I felt like a kid again when I bravely plopped myself in an inner tuber and went sliding down a 75-foot long ramp with Caiden on the other side of the divider. Other attractions include: a shorter inner tube slide, two different snow sledding, and snow play.
When we were done playing, we headed inside to view and smell, the Annual Science of Gingerbread exhibit. You can also find Holiday-themed movies playing in the theater, throughout the day – giving you a nice break from all the hands-on exhibits. Unfortunately for me, my boys didn’t want to sit still, instead they spent most of the time exploring (this was our first time at this location) and doing a scavenger hunt at the Inspector Training Course.
