When you and your family get invited to a launch party event…you go! Especially if it’s thrown by Pretty Little Liars star, Tammin Sursok for her new blog, Bottle + Heels. Have you checked it out yet? It’s a safe place to discuss ideas and the truth about motherhood…both the joys and the hardships. The blog also covers everything from Fashion to DIYs (my kind of blog). It’s a great read…and I LOVE the name.
My Party of 4 had a blast celebrating the launch. The invite said “Garden Attire” and I did my best to get myself and all three of my boys ready. The party was so much fun and it was held at a beautiful estate in Bel Air, CA. There was something for everyone…every little detail was covered.
From Manservants greeting and helping guests (like holding umbrellas so you’re not in the sun) to tarot card readings. Guests also got to make flower crowns with Cult Gaia and Bow & Drape had pouches to customize. There was also some serious pampering at the event! Chrome Girl was doing manicures, Blushington was there to help do make-up touches and upstairs in the “Secret Garden,” guests got to relax with massages! My favorite was getting sparkled with Tammin Sursok’s line Sparkle Nation Hair Charms!
Have you ever tried rose water before? H2rOse is so refreshing (with health benefits)…and I treated myself to a nice cocktail called “Kick Up Your Heels” – H2rOse Apple, 50 Bleu Vodka, with a splash of cranberry and lime…yum!! A Real Treat Candy Boutique was there and we can’t wait to visit there store front in Santa Monica. This candy shop is the first candy shop in LA to specialize in sweets that’s free of corn syrup, artificial colors, artificial flavors and many common allergens. Aqua Ball (another favorite of ours) was also there with new flavors!
Let’s talk FOOD (one of my favorite subjects)…and there was plenty! The District by Hanna An and Paleta were serving delicious (and healthy) food. Au Fudge had a cookie-decorating station for the kids! And sweet treats from Sprinkles, Maski Pops, and California Donuts (oh my!) pleased guest of all ages! We saw some of our favorite brands like Ju-Ju-Be and Bambo Nature. All while kids were being entertained by The Beat Buds and Books and Cookies.
The day ended with a panel of inspirational women speaking about their journey and the lessons of balancing it all. Moderated by Kathryn Eisman, we got to listen to Jillian Rose Darlington of MomCo App, Rachel Pitzel (founder of Club Momme), Lara Gillman of Cycle House and Maria Pelletier of Awestruck.
Thank you again Bottle & Heels for having us! And don’t forget to check out the blog…
