This past weekend we celebrated my best friend’s birthday with a Summer Fiesta
filled with delicious Korean-fusion Tacos, refreshing Sangria,
tasty cupcakes (with Rum Frosting made by my bff)
and good company!
Oh and lots of Beer!
For the party,
I wanted to create colorful and festive centerpieces
to match the papel picado garlands that I made.
So I made these
Fiesta Fringe Vases
(out of large pasta cans and crepe paper streamers)
and I want to share
how easy they are to make!
Materials:
Recycled Can
Crepe Paper Streamers
Double Sided Tape
Scissors
Wrap a piece of crepe paper around the can and cut to size (with a bit of overlap) and use it as a guide to cut the rest of the strips.
Wrap one piece around the can and tape.
**I did this to cover the bottom of the can so the metal won’t peak through**
Layer two pieces of paper and fold in half…then another half.
Cut to fringe.
Starting from the bottom-
wrap around each piece and secure with tape
and work your way up.
Carefully add water and flowers and
Enjoy!
