Fall started last Saturday and the weather in LA hasn’t gotten the memo yet. It’s been in the upper 80s and most of us are ready for a cool down. I really can’t complain about the weather here, but it’s nice to see and feel a change once in awhile.
That same weekend I had the pleasure of helping a good friend of mine with her daughter’s first birthday party.
What better way to welcome the season than by having a Strawberry themed picnic party!
Guests enjoyed the warm LA weather (that goodness for the shaded area) and most importantly, the kids had two playgrounds to play in.
Here are a few pictures to share from Aina’s special day!

Favors: Berry Baskets filled with candy, finger puppets, bubbles and play-doh
Di’s friend Michelle made these beautiful strawberry cupcakes and smash cake.
I loved the adorable cupcake wrappers and the jelly strawberry candies she used to top them…
it was the perfect touch!
I just had to make these Pinwheels for the party, they’re so cute (especially for a picnic)
and so so easy to make.
Here we used them as a centerpiece
instead of flowers…
didn’t want to attract unwanted guests (bees) to the party.
